About Big Brothers Big Sisters of New York City

The mission of Big Brothers Big Sisters of New York City (BBBS of NYC) is to provide mentors to all children who need caring adult role models—dependable friends who can help expand their horizons, realize their potential and enrich their futures—changing their lives. We also train community organizations in every neighborhood, empowering them to establish their own mentoring programs.

Young Professionals Committee

The Young Professionals Committee (YPC) consists of a diverse group of dedicated men and women throughout the city who volunteer their time, talents and energy to support BBBS of NYC’s programs. Ranging in age from 21-40, these dedicated members help promote BBBS of NYC by raising funds through various special events and volunteer activities including wine tastings, happy hours, book-signings and its largest fundraiser, BIG Night Out. The committee also volunteers at BBBS of NYC activities and assists in its efforts to recruit mentors.

For more about the YPC and how to get involved visit: www.bigsnyc.org/v-ypc.php. Or, contact any of us by clicking the names below. If you’d like to get involved with the planning of BIG Night Out 2011, please contact the event co-chairs or attend the next YPC meeting to find out how you can help.
